I had bought one of the first 1997.5 Regal GS that would do awesome front wheel burnouts. I had rented a vanilla Regal LS and while it would chirp the tires off the line, no way would it smoke it. Kinda reminded me of a friend's '66 Valiant with the 225 slant 6. It too would chirp the tires in first but that was about it.

Re: 1500 crew cab rear end grease/oil [banshee409]: by obyone on Wed Dec 03 20:20:51 PST 2008; 1. Does a 1500 limited slip rear end require an additive when changing out? 2. Is it ok to run dextron III in the 4 wheel drive transfer case? Since we have to guess as to what year your truck is (and yes it makes a difference) have you tried reading your owners manual for that info?

Re: idle vibration [cata11]: by obyone on Wed Dec 03 14:08:45 PST 2008; The changing of the wires sounds plausible. I'd use Magnecore myself however it's up to you. The stock wires aren't the greatest and you might also want to change the plugs while you're at it. As far as the dealer voiding warranty...who did you talk to at the dealership? And would they put that denial in writing? I seriously doubt it. Plugs and wires are consumable items and are covered under the Moss Magnuson Act which prohibits the manufacturer from forcing you to use their products by voiding your warranty. Since it seems to be an idle problem, you might also want to check/clean your idle air controller.

What could he possible need a two seater for? Now the caddy just got married a year or two ago. Additionally by giving it away he is no longer responsible for the full tax liability caused by winning it.

He qualified that statement by saying only "if" Ford had to use the bailout money. He anticipates that "most likely" Ford won't need the money. He also expects Ford to go under if GM does. So what does that say?
